The Hillside community has special significance for the mission of TCHP, since the neighborhood will be the site of a "green" affordable housing development scheduled to begin late this summer. The project will be funded by the City of Fort Worth through grants funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program.

“Wells Fargo has made a significant impact on neighborhood stabilization and this is an excellent example of their continued commitment to community development,” said Donna Van Ness, TCHP’s president.

“The Hillside neighborhood, one of Fort Worth’s oldest, has a strong neighborhood association with leadership and residents who are dedicated to strengthening their community,” said Van Ness. “As vacant and abandoned properties are among the chief contributors to decreased property values and general neighborhood decline, we were glad to have the chance to help revitalize this neighborhood and increase the supply of quality, affordable housing.”

In addition to Wells Fargo, the Hillside event was also supported by Home Depot, Frog’s Crossing Landscape Design, and the City of Fort Worth’s code compliance and solid waste management teams.
