TCHP purchased the property in partnership with Tarrant County Community Development as part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Ultimately, the house will re-enter the market through the NSP, where it will be offered to a qualified buyer who successfully completes one of TCHP's assistance programs. Learn more.

The NSP effort is part of TCHP's construction and rehabilitation program, which provides new and newly-updated homes to qualified low and moderate-income homebuyers.

"Thanks to the continued support of Wells Fargo and other partners, we can continue to improve and strenghten Tarrant County neighborhoods," said Donna VanNess, TCHP's president.

VanNess said that Wells Fargo recently contributed $75,000 in support of the NSP effort to renovate vacant and foreclosed housing stock, improve the overall viability of local neighborhoods, and create affordable housing options.

"Tarrant County Housing Partnership was the only Fort Worth recipient of the annual Priority Markets program, a nationwide Wells Fargo effort to help communities address the needs of local affordable housing," she said. "The contribution to TCHP is one of 19 grants totaling $1.6 million that Wells Fargo made in 17 markets in 2009."

“We’re excited to partner with TCHP to help revitalize housing in Tarrant County neighborhoods hardest hit by the foreclosure crisis," said John Gavin, Wells Fargo regional president for Dallas-Fort Worth.

"In addition to our contribution in dollars, our team members contribute their time and talents in community outreach efforts to help bring awareness to program and the housing options offering safe, affordable places to live," he said.
