Women's Homeownership Initiative

Empowering women for a stronger community

More than 40 percent of Tarrant County family households are headed by women, many of whom dream of becoming homeowners but struggle with limited resources. The Women's Homeownership Initiative is a new initiative created with the goal of increasing wealth accumulation for lower income, single mothers, particularly those residing in historically underserved sections of Tarrant County.

Through the process of home purchase preparation, women increase savings, decrease debt, improve credit, and develop a sustainable financial plan in order to build a more stable future for themselves and their children. TCHP is proud to be a part of the Women's Homeownership Initiative and a key supporter of this important effort.
